Coach of the Year

Sherry Norris, Chapel Hill

Named the state’s Coach of the Year by the Associated Press and the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association, Norris guided the Tigers to a perfect season and a state title.

First Team

G Jamie Cherry, West Craven (Vanceboro), 5-5, Sr.
A unanimous Associated Press all-state pick and the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year is the second-highest scorer in state history.

G Paris Kea, Page (Greensboro) 5-8, Sr.
The Vanderbilt University signee is a three-time Associated Press all-state selection.

F Rachel Camp, East Rutherford (Forest City), 5-10, Sr.
The Virginia Tech signee capped her high school hoops career by scoring 41 points in a tournament loss.

F Azura Stevens, Cary, 6-4, Sr.
The Duke University signee and all-state paced the Imps by averaging 30 points per contest.

F Jatarie White, Providence Day School (Charlotte), 6-3, Jr. (Player of the Year) 
The North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year and University of South Carolina signee led the Chargers to their eighth North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 3A state title in nine seasons.

G Madi Story, Bandys (Catawba), 6-0, Sr.

G Stephanie Watts, Weddington (Matthews), 5-9, Jr.

F Rydeiah Rogers, Myers Park (Charlotte), 6-1, Jr.

F Jamella Smith, Chapel Hill, 5-9, Sr.

F Akela Branch, Albemarle, 6-2, Sr.
