Coach of the Year

Ute Otley, Champlain Valley
Taking over a program that had not won a state title since 1987, Otley has now led Champlain Valley to back-to-back state championships and undefeated seasons.

First Team

G Hailee Barron, Rice Memorial (South Burlington), 5-9, Sr.
Averaged 16 points to go along with five assists, five rebounds and three steals per game in leading Rice back to the state final for the fourth year in a row.  Barron has signed with James Madison University.

G Ashlie Fay, Mount Abraham (Bristol), 5-7, Sr.
Fay recorded 4.5 steals per game, in addition, to 13 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game after being named second team all-state last season.

G Emily Kinneston, Champlain Valley (Hinesburg), 5-8, Sr.  (Player of the Year)
Kinneston averaged 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.2 steals, 2.9 assists per game as Champlain Valley completed back-to-back undefeated seasons. She is headed to American University in the fall.

F Jackie Nagle, Colchester Senior, 6-0, Sr.
A four-year starter and the integral piece to the Lakers’ resurgence, Nagle‘s versatility set her apart from many of her frontcourt peers. She could score in the paint and hit outside jumpers and rebound well — all facets that contributed to averages of 11.5 points and 8.5 boards per game. Nagle plans to play basketball at Amherst in the fall.

F Kara Sheftic, Essex, 6-1, Sr.
A four-year starter bound for Boston University in the fall, Sheftic averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks per game. Sheftic ranks second in blocks (188) and fourth in rebounds (775) in program history.
