The Appleton West baseball team held off Neenah to win 9-8 in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Friday in Appleton.
Neenah scored four runs in the top of the seventh to pull within one, but Zack Zuleger closed the door to get the save.
Carson Krueger relieved in the third inning and pitched into the sixth to get the win for the Terrors.
Matt Pudlo had two doubles and three RBI for West. Austin Mullins and Nick Kukurich each drove in two runs.
Matt Gruse had three RBI for Neenah.

At Oshkosh, Bennett Groves hit a two-out, two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Patriots past the Wildcats.
Oshkosh West loaded the bases on three walks in the bottom half of the inning, but the Patriots pitched out of it.
Matt Seidl got the win, going 32⁄3 innings, walking four and striking out four.
Groves finished the game going 2-for-5, while Parker Groves added a double and an RBI.

At Oshkosh, the Lightning committed three of its four errors in the fourth inning and it proved costly as the Spartans scored eight times to put the game out of reach.
Alex Hintze was dominant on the mound for Oshkosh North, allowing just two hits and striking out nine in the complete-game win. He walked three batters.
“I thought that Hintze pitched a superb game,” Lightning coach Dave Eagan said. “He was in control from the start. He is a quality pitcher. To our credit, we were right in the game except for one inning.”

At Fond du Lac, the Papermakers opened the game with an eight-run first and never looked back as Brice Swick picked up the win, allowing just two hits while striking out three in five innings.
Among Kimberly’s big hits in the first included RBI singles by Travis VanderHyden and Swick and, with two out, a two-run double by Griffin Hawley and a two-run single by Ben Carew. Carew finished the game with four RBI as Kimberly moved to 9-3 in the conference and 11-4 overall.
