Sterling Heights Stevenson 10, Chippewa Valley 0: Dean Emanuele was 2-for-2 with three RBI’s and Ryan Kasprzyk was 2-for-3 with an RBI (5-0, 3-0 MAC Red). Jake Rogers tossed a complete game one-hitter. Chippewa Valley is 5-5, 0-3.
Detroit Country Day 7, Cranbrook 3 (8 inn.): Jeremiah Tyler had two hits and two RBI’s and Brad Freeman hit a two-run double for Country Day (3-3).
Southfield Lathrup 18-12, Oak Park 0-0: Eric Langford had two RBI’s and two runs and Chase Colding had a triple and scored three runs for Lathrup (2-6). Jamar Bray hit a three-run home run in game two.
Walled Lake Northern 4-10, Walled Lake Western 2-1: Brennan Williams hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to lift Northern. Ryan Snyder gave up five hits and struck out 13. Michael Kirschbaum had a complete game with eight strikeouts and Scott Zychowski drove in two runs in the second game for Northern (2-0). Western is 0-2.
Warren De La Salle 4-2, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 3-1: Brent Morris pitched a complete game and struck out 13 in the first game for De La Salle (4-4). Danny Michalak struck out 10 and gave up three hits in the second game.
Softball
Birmingham Groves 17, Southfield Christian 3: Savannah Tatum was 3-for-4 with four RBI’s and was the winning pitcher, striking out six for Groves (3-0). Elise Schellpfeffer was 2-for-2 with two RBI’s.
Detroit Osborn 24, Detroit Northwestern 14: Daisha Adams had a home run and drove in seven for Osborn (2-2). Mercedes Meeks was 4-for-4 with four RBI’s and Stephanie Christian was 4-for-4 with three RBI’s. \
Detroit Renaissance 20, Detroit King 3: Brianna Ross was 4-for-5 and scored three runs for Renaissance (11-3, 4-0 PSL West). Jazzmaine Hammond was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run.
Novi Franklin Road Christian 10, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 4: Gabriel Rayburn was 3-for-4 with three RBI’s and Danielle Fusco was 2-for-4 with two RBI’s for Fr anklin Road (2-2, 1-0 MIAC Red).
