Girls Swimming: Elza wins diving

HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – Beka Elza scored a 240.60 to win the diving event Tuesday during Hagerstown’s loss to Jay County.

Hayley Hollenberg finished second in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, while Elle Hellwarth did so in the 500 free and Hannah Tollett in the 100 backstroke.

Boys Swimming: 2 Tigers 2nd

HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – Beau Wales finished second in both the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events, while senior Eli Reagan was second in the 50 free and 100 butterfly Tuesday during Hagerstown’s loss to Jay County.

Middle School Basketball: UC, ‘Dogs split

Centerville defeated Union City 14-10 in seventh-grade girls basketball, while Union City defeated Centerville’s eighth-graders.

Addie Walther and Autumn Toschlog both had five points for the Bulldog seventh grade while Alex McFarland scored eight for the eighth-graders.

Seton wins

Trent Reichley and Jake Miller each scored 14 points as Seton Catholic defeated Community Christian 62-24 Tuesday in eighth-grade basketball.

Ryan Hollingsworth added 11 for the Cardinals, while Sam Brenneke had nine.
