WINCHESTER, Ind. – Kayla Owens shot 40 to lead Richmond in a tri-match victory at Winchester Golf Course Tuesday.
Richmond shot 180 as a team, while Winchester shot 194 and Monroe Central 252.
Mackenzie Mehaffey’s 40 paced the Falcons.
Richmond plays Thursday at Highland Lake against Union County.

CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Hagerstown again lowered its season best by firing a 163 vs. Lincoln at Winding Branch Golf Course on Tuesday.
Jess Denhart shot a season low of 36 to earn medalist honors, followed by Shelly Shafer’s 39 and a season-best 42 by Michaela Bledsoe.
Lincoln fielded only two golfers for the TEC match.
Hagerstown (5-0, 1-0) plays host Thursday to Centerville.

VOLLEYBALL: Tigers open with win
HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – Hagerstown opened its season with a 25-14, 25-12, 25-12 victory over Franklin County on Tuesday.
Hannah Rogers and Morgan Masters each had 10 assists for the Tigers, while Kendell Combs made 10 kills with 13 digs.
Brytni Dale added eight kills and 12 digs, Ryley Murray 11 digs and Victoria Pierson 11 digs.
Hagerstown (1-0) plays host today to Anderson Prep.
VOLLEYBALL: Patriots win
LIBERTY, Ind. Union County defeated North Decatur 25-13, 25-18, 25-10 on Tuesday.
Allison Kassens had 10 kills for the Patriots, while Ella Dils added eight. Isabella Pavey made 27 assists to go with four aces, while Kassens added five aces and seven digs.
VOLLEYBALL: Bears sweep Indians
Monroe Central swept Union City 25-21, 25-9, 25-14 Tuesday.
The Indians host Northeastern on Thursday to open TEC play.
JV score: Monroe Central def. Union City 21-25, 25-17, 15-9.
VOLLEYBALL: Falcons drop opener
WINCHESTER, Ind. – Winchester dropped its season opener 25-10, 25-16, 25-13 Monday against Cowan.
Randi Phenis had six digs and an ace for the Falcons (0-1), while Emily White and Leah Malkey each had two kills. Riley Study added two solo blocks.
VOLLEYBALL: Blazers fall
NEW PARIS, Ohio – Brookville defeated National Trail 25-21, 25-18, 25-11 on Monday.
Tessa Rhodus had seven kills for the Blazers, while Alexus Acton added two kills, five aces and a block, Kortney Rea three kills and three aces and Tori Saunders six digs.
National Trail (0-3) plays host Monday to Union County.
BOYS TENNIS: Trojans top Patriots
ST. LEON, Ind. – East Central defeated Union County 4-1 on Tuesday.
Devin Pinney and Matt Hartman won at No. 1 doubles for the Patriots (0-1), who play Saturday in the Hagerstown Invitational.

GIRLS SOCCER: ‘Dogs win opener
RUSHVILLE, Ind. – Merissa Ross scored and had an assist and three freshmen also scored as Centerville opened the season with a 6-0 victory at Rushville on Tuesday.
Senior Shelby Minhinnett, Maddie Riggott and freshmen Megan Stevens, Mackenzie Tipton and Chloe Uphaus all scored for the Bulldogs (1-0).
Goalkeeper Ashley Sheperd had three saves in the first half, while Cassidy Weiss had two in the second half.
Centerville hosts National Trail on Monday.
