Bellevue girls’ basketball
Kuiper put herself into the Bellevue girls’ basketball history books this week, when she broke the Broncos’ single-season scoring record. Her 18 points in a win over Colon gave her 269 for the year. She later added 15 points in a win over Barry County Christian.
Gull Lake wrestling
Of the 43 area wrestlers to advance to last weekend’s regional round, only Miller came away as a champion. At the Division 2 regional at Byron Center, Miller placed first at 145 pounds after going 3-0 and improving to 50-2 overall this season. Miller, who was also a district champion, is ranked No. 8 in the state.
Homer boys’ basketball
After a disappointing loss to Springport — Homer’s first defeat of the season — White helped the Trojans bounce back by coming through in the clutch against Marshall. With :02 left on the clock, he burried a 25-footer to break a late-game tie and give Class C honorable mention Homer the non-conference victory.
