Bearden grad and current Blue Jays minor leaguer Lane Thomas was named a first-team high school All-American by Baseball America on Wednesday.
Thomas, an outfielder, is one of just 15 players in the country to receive the honor from the prestigious publication.
The former Vols commit signed with Toronto well over slot value after being selected in the 5th round of the MLB Draft.
He hit .410 with 17 home runs and 40 RBI with the Bulldogs in 2014.
Thomas has played three games with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays, and is hitting .429 (6-for-14) with a double and a triple.
