Bedford North Lawrence’s Dominique McBryde and Jenna Allen have been named two of the six core players for Indiana’s Junior All-Star Team.
The Junior All-Stars will play exhibitions on June 9 and June 11 against the senior Indiana All-Stars in preparation for the senior All-Stars’ annual series with Kentucky (June 13 in Lexington and June 14 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis).
The Junior All-Stars will play Kentucky’s Junior All-Stars on June 6 (Scecina High School in Indianapolis) and June 7 (Lexington).
McBryde, a Purdue recruit, averaged 15.0 points and 6.9 rebounds, and Allen, destined for Indiana, totaled 14.9 points and 8.7 rebounds while leading the Stars to their second straight Class 4-A state championship.
The rest of the core group includes Lawrence North’s Lamina Cooper (a Purdue recruit), Merrillville’s Victoria Gaines (Michigan State), Columbus North’s Ali Patberg (Notre Dame) and Evansville Mater Dei’s Tori Schickel.
BNL’s Alexa Bailey (Butler) was selected to join the six core players for one of the exhibitions with the senior All-Stars and one of the games with Kentucky. She’s part of the contingent from Southern Indiana that will also include Franklin Central’s Kennedy Archer, Lawrence North’s Jordan Hankins, Pike’s Brittany Ward, Evansville Memorial’s Stephanie Sherwood and Madison’s Olivia Crozier.
The six from Northern Indiana included Homestead’s Josie Fisher, NorthWood’s Jordyn Frantz, Fort Wayne Canterbury’s Darby Maggard, Michigan City’s Michal Miller, South Bend Washington’s Tiara Murphy and Logansport’s Nakeya Penny.

Two-time Class 4-A state champion Bedford North Lawrence placed four starters on the squad with Allen, McBryde and Bailey plus senior Brittani Rizzi. The Stars won their third straight league title.
The rest of the First Team included Madison senior Olivia Crozier, Columbus East senior Allyson Bunch, Jennings County junior Baylee Krueger and Seymour sophomore Emilee Pollman.
* Charlestown’s Kaitlynn Henning and Justice Burdin were named to the Mid-Southern Conference First Team.
The rest of the squad included Salem’s Alex Davidson, North Harrison’s Kendra Lambert, Scottsburg’s Ashley Elliott, Kelsey Smith and Jillian Romero, Corydon’s Marie Rothrock, Eastern Pekin’s Katie Ernstberger, Austin’s Meghan Smith and Brownstown’s Brooke Ebbing.
Clarksville’s Calvin McEwen, Andrew Jones and D.J. Coleman were named to the Mid-Southern Conference First Team.
The rest of the squad included Corydon’s Bronson Kessinger and Brayden Lander, Silver Creek’s Christian Reed and Gabe Bauer, Austin’s Devin Richey, Scottsburg’s Christian Evans, and Brownstown’s Chaz Schneider and Austin Snodgrass.
