Boys basketball: Croton-Harmon overcomes deficit to defeat Pleasantville; more results

Croton-Harmon was able to overcome a 14-point deficit early in the fourth quarter to beat visiting Pleasantville 58-49 Monday.

The Panthers held a 45-31 lead before the Tigers went on a 27-4 run in the final seven minutes thanks to a full-court press.

“Our team showed a tremendous amount of heart,” assistant coach Steve Pursigliotti said about the comeback. “For the first three quarters, we just didn’t play with the energy we were accustomed to playing with.

“I give the team tremendous credit for staying positive and believing in themselves.”

Patrick Gallagher finished with 19 points in the win. Teammates Teejay Searight and Chris McVeety scored 14 and 10, respectively.

Chris Maloney and Bryan Wolf scored 10 points each for Pleasantville.
