Madison pulled away from visiting Floyd Central in the fourth quarter and handed the Highlanders an 80-69 loss Monday night in boys’ high school basketball.

The host Cubs (12-3, 4-2 Hoosier Hills Conference) led 21-11 after one quarter, saw their lead dwindle to 38-37 at halftime, and pushed it out to 58-55 after three quarters.

Nick Macon hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 27 points for Madison. Teammate Landon Perry added 21 points.

The Highlanders (3-13, 2-4) were led by Myles Ervin’s 24 points and J.C. Kinnaird’s 18 points.
