Coming into Tuesday night’s non-conference game against Sheboygan County rival Sheboygan South, Plymouth boys basketball team head coach Jason Duff was hoping his team would be able to withstand the Redwings’ physical play early on.

They did that and then some.

Plymouth grabbed a 24-10 lead after the first quarter and benefited from a 26-point performance from Kollin Neils to roll to a 75-49 home win on Tuesday night.

“We were able to cause some turnovers and attacked the basket really well, passed it well and finished around the rim in that first quarter,” Plymouth coach Jason Duff said. “I thought we played really well all throughout the first half.”

Besides Niels, the Panthers (14-3) also had a double-digit performance from Tom Jankowski (11).

“It was a very physical game on both ends of the court,” Duff said. “I thought we handled that pressure pretty well. It was a good win for us. We have a lot of respect for South, they are a good team, so we really feel good about this win.”

For South (7-10), Joe Schultz was the only player to score in double figures; he scored 10 points with a pair of 3-pointers.
