St. Joseph-Metuchen 64, Wilbraham and Monson (Mass.) 50: Marques Townes and Karl Towns were named Co-MVPs to lead a balanced attack in the Under Armour Showcase in Charlotte, N.C. Marques Townes notched 17 points and seven rebounds and Karl Towns posted 17 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocks and five assists. Wade Baldwin returned from a back injury to recorded 11 points, eight assists and three steals. Raven Owen (10 points, four steals, four rebounds) and Brein Tyree (nine points, four steals, three assists) helped the Falcons improve to 9-0.

Montgomery 63, Elizabeth 48: Greg Tarca’s 14 points led the balanced Cougars, who improved to 8-0. Justin Kovacevich (13 points), Tim Youreneff (13 points), and Darron Wallace (11 points) also chipped in for Montgomery, which pulled away for good with an 18-6 second quarter.

Watchung Hills 56, South Brunswick 50: Junior Devyn Spruell posted 12 points, nine rebounds and three steals and junior David Weidlich added 10 points and Joe Giacomo notched seven points and four assists for the Warriors (5-3), who recorded 14 steals and forced 22 turnovers. For South Brunswick, Jason Saldiveri and Jack Engler scored 13 and 12, respectively.

Bridgewater-Raritan 47, Rutgers Prep 41: After trailing by five at the half, the Panthers used a 20-6 third quarter to establish control. Senior Andrew Wieczenski scored six of his 10 points during the period. Ben Miller paced Bridgewater-Raritan (5-3) with 13 points. For Rutgers Prep (3-4), Levin Holmes netted 18.

Governor Livingston 37, New Providence 26: Pat Mahoney scored 11 points and Javon Reis-Wilson netted eight points as the Highlanders prevailed in their “Spirit Day” rivalry matchup. For New Providence, Dylan Thomas led with 12 points and Bryan Joyce added seven.

North Brunswick 58, Spotswood 53: Eric Slade (16 points), Kishem Patel (12 points) and Joe Castellanos (11 points) all tallied double-digit scoring performances for North Brunswick (6-1). Jake Dadika led all scorers with 28 points in a losing effort for Spotswood (5-3).

Mendham 50, North Hunterdon 32: Ryan McDowell tallied 10 points and four rebounds for the Lions. Jacob Johnson added seven points and four boards for North Hunterdon (3-4), which got outscored 14-2 in the second quarter.

Hunterdon Central 67, Morristown 63: Myles Thomas scored 17 points and John Patrick hit two free throws with five seconds left to seal it for Central (3-5). Cole Hannitz scored 13 points and Jeff Dzierzawiec netted 12 for the Red Devils, who led 33-16 at the half and held off a late charge.

Bernards 43, Manville 25: David Wieber scored a game high 22 points for Bernards (2-4) and teammate Jordan Tantleff added seven points. Carl Imhoff led Manville (2-4) with seven points.

J.P. Stevens 55, Wardlaw-Hartridge 46: Nick Dooley (15 points) and Francois Ballou (13 points) to lead J.P Stevens (1-7) to their first victory of the season. John Pohopin and Nick Palko led Wardlaw-Hartridge (1-7) with 13 points each.

Sayreville 50, Piscataway 37: Jehyve Floyd and Cory Taite led Sayreville with 16 points each, helping the Bombers improve to 7-2. Sayreville was able to build upon its six point halftime lead by taking a 15 point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Najee Lucky led Piscataway (2-6) with 13 points.

Colonia 64, Woodbridge 43: Chase Barneys led Colonia with 25 points, 19 of which coming in the first half. James Corbett added 22 points en route to the victory. Woodbridge was led by Zaire Robinson’s 12 points and Josh Olowookere’s 10 points.

East Brunswick 64, South Plainfield 32: Amir Bell and Gary Baumer each chipped in 12 points for East Brunswick. Chris Mathis led South Plainfield with seven points.
