The Coldwater boys’ basketball team had to wait until Feb. 3 to earn their first victory of the season.
And after Tuesday night, the Cardinals are on a winning streak thanks to a 53-40 victory over host Galesburg-Augusta in non-conference action.
Coldwater (2-9) won its second game in as many nights thanks to a balanced scoring attack, led by Nathan Waterbury and Michael Magocs with nine points apiece. Also for the Cardinals, Ryan Mock pulled down five rebounds, while Waterbury tallied three steals.
Galesburg-Augusta was led by Dillion Whipple with nine points while Calvin Foote had six rebounds.

(At) Tekonsha 49, Will Carleton Academy 34: Riley Lloyd scored 19 points to lead Tekonsha in the win. Also for the Indians (2-9, 0-8) Jeremy Scherer scored 11 points with eight rebounds.
(At) Mattawan 63, Lakeview 52: Donnie Ernsberger had a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for Lakeview. Also for the Spartans (6-7), Camden Hames had 15 points while C.J. Foster had five points and six steals.
(At) Litchfield 67, Calhoun Christian 57: Cameron Hiscock had his first career triple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in the loss for Calhoun Christian. Also for the Cougars (6-4), Chase Flach had 12 points and Matthew Parks had eight points, five rebounds and five assists.
