Joey Flanagan scored 13 points as the Roy C. Ketcham High School boys basketball team pulled away to a 55-39 victory over host John Jay on Saturday.
Matt Fields added 12 points, and Jordan Bishop and Tim Reilly scored 10 points apiece for the Indians (4-7).
Ryan Schumacher led John Jay with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Steve Turi scored 11 points.
Late Friday, Ketcham lost 63-39 to visiting Arlington. Brendan Sunday’s 24 points led Freedom Plains’ Admirals. Kyle Flanagan (17 points) and David Verdis (11 points) complemented Sunday’s effort in the win.
Matt Fields’ 12 points led Ketcham (3-7), which received a 3-point basket from Nick Scianna in his first home game of the season following a bout with leukemia.
Also late Friday, John Jay lost 67-58 to visiting Our Lady of Lourdes. James Anozie knocked down 10 shots for 21 points to lead the Warriors.
Justin Rhynders added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and Kyle Santoro scored 12. Turi led all scorers for the hosts with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, and Justin Cunha made four 3-point shots to finish with 18 points.
Trinity-Pawling 59, Taft 48 — Pine Plains native Justin Cooper scored 25 points in the home win, and Jeremy Arthur added 14.
LaGrangeville’s Braedon Bayer had six points and four steals for Trinity-Pawling (10-3).
