Boys basketball roundup: Ships beat Kewaunee in OT

The Manitowoc Lincoln boys basketball team outlasted host Kewaunee 59-56 in overtime in a non-conference game Monday night.

With the Ships (3-7) trailing by three near the end of regulation, Adam Bonk drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.

Bonk finished the night with a game-high 24 points for Lincoln.

Jacob Winkel poured in 29 points and Terren Driscoll added 12 to help power visiting Kiel (5-8) past Howards Grove.

The Raiders led 29-20 at halftime and kept up enough offensive pressure through the third and fourth quarters to keep the win.

“Our kids played hard, but the big guy for Kiel absolutely killed us,” Howards Grove coach Eric Worth said, a reference to Winkel.
