Although his squad is 8-13, first-year coach Steve Herman believes the Crusaders, who fell by just two points Friday to defending state Catholic schools champ Cardinal Hayes, are moving in the right direction.

Against Mount St. Michael, the Crusaders made eight 3-pointers, shot 55 percent from the field and had only four turnovers.
