Monroe Central led host Madison-Grant by 10 points at halftime, but the boys basketball game turned in the third quarter as the Argylls rallied for a 53-50 win Tuesday night.
Madison-Grant outscored the Golden Bears 13-1 in the third to turn a 10-point deficit into a two-point lead.
Jake Combs paced Monroe Central (12-8) in scoring with 17 points. Chase Bly scored 11 to round out the double-figure Golden Bear scorers. Cody Woolf led Monroe Central in rebounds with nine.
* Union 67, Cowan 42: The Rockets doubled their 13-point halftime lead with a dominant third quarter en route to a lopsided Mid-Eastern Conference win.
Three Rockets (11-8) scored in double figures. Spencer Shore paced Union with 19 points and Kaulen Jenkins followed with 16 as each buried two 3-pointers. Nick Glaser rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.
* Wes-Del 77, Southern Wells 51: The Warriors put Southern Wells in a 10-point hole in the first quarter and extended their lead from there in their second most lopsided win of the season.
Sam Paul led a balanced Wes-Del scoring effort with 18 points. Bryce Marsh followed with 17 and Justin Evans scored 16 for the Warriors (7-11).
* Winchester 69, South Adams 56: Trailing at the start of the fourth quarter, the Falcons outscored the Starfires 21-7 in the final eight minutes to pull out the win. Four Winchester players scored in double figures, with Kiante Enis leading the way with 22 points and Alan Brutchen and Brandon Edwards (four 3-pointers) each adding 17.
* Seton Catholic 63, Daleville 42: The Cardinals rattled off 20 straight points in the first half on the way to a win against the Broncos. T.J. Price led the Broncos with 12 points.
Daleville led 7-0 lead Seton Catholic went on its scoring splurge. Daleville went nearly 6 minutes without a point until Garrett Craig converted a free throw early in the second quarter.
