Boys tennis roundup: Lincoln ties for 3rd at FRCC tourney


The Manitowoc Lincoln boys tennis team finished in a tie for third at the Fox River Classic Conference meet in Green Bay on Thursday.

Jim Lee took first place for the Ships at No. 3 singles. He defeated Connor Savolt of De Pere 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Derek Rohrer placed second at No. 2 singles after he fell to Notre Dame’s Tim Krzewinski 6-4, 7-6 (5) in the championship match.

David Wronkowski took third at No. 1 singles. He defeated Ashwaubenon’s Abrar Mian 6-1, 6-1 in the third place match.

Raghav Sharma placed sixth at No. 4 singles.

In doubles action, Drew Dixon and Tim Xiong (No. 3) recorded a 6-0, 6-4 win over Max Harms and Kyle Yedica of Sheboygan North in the fifth-place match.

At No. 1 doubles, Parker Wood and Ryan Specht finished sixth.

Brett Giesen (No. 1) and Zach LeVene (No. 2) prevailed at singles while Hayden and Brady Boettcher (No. 1) and Chris Davis and Mitch Tegen (No. 3) did the same at doubles
