Melbourne has never won a regional game, but the Bulldogs face a Fort Myers team tonight that has at least one common opponent. While Melbourne won two of three from Martin County, the Tigers defeated Fort Myers in a regular season tournament game at Fort Myers, 75-64, on Jan. 11.
Holy Trinity improved to 24-3 with a big win over Cocoa (22-6) in the Class 4A, District 8 championship on Saturday. Holy Trinity gets Port Orange Atlantic tonight, and Cocoa is at Lake Highland Prep, last year’s Class 4A state champion.
Florida Air (25-1) begins its playoff run at home against Village Academy of Delray Beach.
