BRUSH – The No. 1-seeded Brush Beetdiggers claimed the Class 2A football state title over the No. 2-seeded Kent Denver Sun Devils on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at Brush High School.  This is the Beetdiggers’ first football state title since 1994, and fourth title ever.  Both teams finished the season with undefeated records, 12-0.

Brush was the first team on the board in the first quarter.  Kent Denver’s Jaden Franklin got the Sun Devils in the game with a 34-yard TD run; but Kent missed the extra point, trailing the Beetdiggers 7-6.

The score remained 7-6 until the beginning of the third quarter.

Brush scored again in the third on a Kyle Rosen 31-yard TD run.  At the end of the third quarter, Brush led Kent Denver 14-6, which is the final score the Beetdiggers won the state title with.
