Buford, Ga., jumped from No. 8 to No. 7 in the Super 25 high school football rankings by winning its 40th consecutive game, a 55-10 defeat of St. Pius (Atlanta) in the 4A state championship on Saturday as wide receiver Aaron Auer caught two touchdown passes.

No. 24 Eden Prairie, Minn., which won its 6A state title and No. 25 Oceanside, Calif., which climbed from No. 35 with a 37-22 playoff defeat Friday of Edison (Fresno) as quarterback Matt Romero threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns. The Pirates will play No. 11 Folsom this Friday in the state Division I bowl.
