Centennial junior Damian Hinojos pulled off the shot of the Arizona high school basketball season on Thursday against Mesa High.

With Mesa up by eight points and shooting free throws, game was already in hand. But Hinojos caught the rebound in a throwing motion and heaved the ball the length of the court.

Without even grazing the rim, the Hinojos drained the shot.

Yeah, Mesa won 67-62, but that shot was beyond impressive.

The shot almost confused his teammates. At first, they wanted to celebrate the buzzer beater, but then they realized the score, which made for a pretty funny scene. It’s not every day that we see a subdued celebration to a full-court buzzer beater.

The best reaction goes to Brenton Pohlman (No. 34), pretending to faint.
