Chandler Hamilton OL Casey Tucker chooses Stanford over Arizona State

Chandler Hamilton senior Casey Tucker, the state’s most coveted offensive lineman, finally made a decision everybody has been waiting for since Arizona State took on Stanford in the Pac-12 championship game.

Tucker announced on Twitter on Thursday night that he has committed to Stanford.

Stanford, it appeared, held the edge for a while, because Tucker was waiting from Stanford’s admissions to see if he was cleared academically.

With that taken care of, it paved the way for the 6-foot-6, 295-pounder to verbal to the Cardinal, which defeated the Sun Devils in the Pac-12 title game.

Tucker is listed as a five-star by Scout and ranked second nationally at his position. Rvals rates Tuckers a four-star and the fifth-best offensive lineman in the country.

He played in the Under Armour All-American Game, after missing six games his senior season because of a high ankle sprain.

In other recruiting news, head coaches from Stanford and Oklahoma came by Scottsdale Saguaro in the past week to see top junior recruit Christian Kirk, a dual threat who can play receiver, running back and cornerback.

Notre Dame, Washington, Florida, California and Southern California also recently have come through for Kirk.
