CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Country Day School soccer picked up a big win against rival Charlotte Christian School Monday, defeating the visiting Knights 4-1. Sawyer Davies led the Bucs with two goals, while Locke Heberton and Redmond Teague scored one goal apiece. The Bucs outshot Christian 18-6 in the one-sided contest.

After a slow start by both teams, Country Day broke the 0-0 score when Sawyer Davies turned a Charlotte Christian turnover into the first goal of the game with 15 minutes remaining in the first half. The Bucs were able to hold off a furious rally from the Knights, and opened the floodgates with two close goals in the 50th and 51st minutes.
