Ankeny: Kelsey Yarrow leads the team with a 13.1-point scoring average. She had 15 in Tuesday’s loss to Indianola.
Ankeny Centennial: The Jaguars beat fifth-ranked East and No. 7 Southeast Polk. Jaali Winters had a combined 33 points in the two victories.
Dowling Catholic: Audrey Faber has averaged 16 points a game. A 15-game winning streak ended Friday when Johnston upset the Maroons 40-38.
East: Shareece Burrell scored 18 points in Friday’s 67-40 win over Indianola. The triumph gave the Scarlets a 12-0 record in CIML Metro Conference play.
Fort Dodge: Tiana Mericle leads the Dodgers in rebounds and blocked shots and is second in scoring with a 10.1-point average. She’s a senior.
Hoover: The Huskies scored a season-high 72 points in Friday’s win over North. Mikayla Larson scored 23 points and added 15 rebounds.
Indianola: Freshman Haley Vesey scored a team-best 13 points and sank three 3-pointers in Friday’s loss at East. She averages 5.1 points a game.
Johnston: The Dragons downed No. 2 Dowling 40-38 Friday. Shayna Stubbs hit a buzzer-beating shot. She scored six points in the game.
Lincoln: Sa’Lisa Berry scored 21 points in Tuesday’s loss to Urbandale. Berry hit all three of her 3-point attempts. The senior has averaged 9.1 points a game.
Marshalltown: The Bobcats snapped an 11-game losing streak on Feb. 10. Marshalltown beat Ankeny 47-35. Samantha Hughes scored 14 points.
Mason City: Senior Myah Mellman became the fifth five-on-five player from Mason City to reach 1,000 points.
North: The Polar Bears open postseason play Wednesday at Roosevelt in a Class 5-A regional quarterfinal. Sebrina Dixon leads the team with 104 rebounds.
Ottumwa: Rachel Zingg scored 32 points in three games over the past week. The sophomore scored 14 in Friday’s loss to Roosevelt.
Roosevelt: Senior Miranda Pierce pulled down 25 rebounds in three games during the week. She had a team-best 14 in Thursday’s 55-40 win over Lincoln. She has 101 rebounds this season.
Southeast Polk: A loss to Ankeny Centennial Friday ended the team’s nine-game winning streak. Ashton Donels scored 19 points.
Urbandale: The J-Hawks scored a season-best 78 points in Tuesday’s win over Lincoln. Kennedy Kracht (17 points), Raleke Ekwena (15) and Tanna Schill (13) scored in double figures.
Valley: Senior guard Madi Agey was honored before Friday’s game vs. Urbandale as the school’s all-time assists leader. The previous school record holder, all-state guard Julie (Rittgers) Sladek, was present for the ceremony.
Waukee: Miranda Hunzeker scored 21 points in a pair of victories against Ankeny and Dowling. She made four 3-point baskets against Ankeny and three more vs. Dowling.

The junior center averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds in three games. Burkhall scored 28 points against Lincoln on Thursday and had 17 rebounds vs. Ottumwa on Friday. Roosevelt won both games.
