Southwestern: Trojans are back

Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake: Red Dragons will move up a class. Hulton and Baker will be key defense.

Salamanca: Warriors always competitive. Tyler Sipperer is a player.

Falconer/Cass Valley: Falcons and Cougars will be ready for new venture.

Allegany- Limestone: Gators will be competitive and vie for playoffs.

Gowanda: Panthers look to improve this season.

Williamsville East: Line should be strength. Tideswell is a solid player.
Starpoint: Offense needs to put points on board.
Kenmore East: Rymarczyk and McGowan will be defensive impact players
Riverside: Frontiers has a 15 game losing streak. They will be more competitive this season.

Red Dragons are always competitive. Curt Fischer has an amazing record of 179-41-0 in 22 years as Head Coach. Defense will be strength with A.J. Hulton and Chandler Baker. Ryan Miller will provide the offensive spark. Other key players will be Jonah Tanner and Mitch Sandberg will compete for league and sectional titles. Have tough matchup with Randolph in opener in a non league matchup.

Trojans return 8 strarters on offense and 7 on defense, offense to be smarked by Hunter Peterson, Mike Sandbloom and Niko Pannes. Defense to be led by Peterson, Jordan Breyrton and Brendan Kennedy. Line will be anchored by John Todd. Will compete for league title. Jay Sirianni needs 6 wins to reach coveted 100 career win marks open with Gowanda.

Warriors recorded a 6-2 mark in 2013 and will compete for league title this season. Have all-WNY candidate in Tyler Siperek, other key players for Jason Marsh include Jared Fish, Malanchi Ficek, Jordan Johnson and Marquee Peters. Host Falconer and play at Lackawanna in first 2 weeks.

Gators are 10-9 past 2 seasons. Key players include All-WNY candidate Roman “Rocky” Greco, 6’4 290 lbs SR.; Chris Sayles, Kyle McGraw and Tyler Hines. Josh Lippert and Greco will anchor line. Will be competitive. Talent from 6-3 JV squad will help Paul Furlong. Squad opens with Silver Creek and Southwestern.

Falcons look to improve in 2014. Key players will be All-WNY candidates Jacob Penhollow, Dawshaw Jackson and L.J. Spangenburg. Open with Salamanca and host Franklinville in Week 2. Falcons haven’t had a winning season since 2007. Have merged with Cassadaga Valley for football this season.

Panthers look to improve on last season’s 2 wins. Talent from 6-2 Jayvee team will help Sean Gabel in his 6th year as head coach. Have All-WNY candidates in Ken Brant, Devon Clark and Chris Hammond. Other key players include Bryan Brawdy, Joe McCarthy and Seth Halftoan. Panthers have only won 7 games in 5 years, will improve. Open season with Southwestern and Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake. Gowanda has merged with Pine Valley for football.
