No. 5 Colquitt County wins its first state title since 1994

All season long, Colquitt County’s (Moultrie, Ga.) trending hashtag on its Twitter handle read: #UnfinishedBusiness, but after a 28-24 win over Archer (Lawrenceville, Ga.) in the Class AAAAAA state title game Saturday night it’s the new trending topic fittingly read: #FinishedBusiness.

Packers (15-0) running back Sihiem King made sure of that.

Up just four with 4:48 left in regulation, the Packers fed King for nine-straight carries and he picked up 49 yards and three big first downs to secure the win.

King finished with 125 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

The state title hardware is Colquitt County’s first since 1994 and second in the school’s history.
