Graduation hijinks are nothing new at the high school level, but this rapidfire stunt at Pullman High’s commencement in Washington was particularly well done.
Taking a page from the rising high school hallway trend of “dunk cam” – where one student surreptitiously sneaks behind another to set up a third for a poster dunk above their head – students from Pullman High quietly set up their principal during the 2014 graduating class’ commencement ceremony. As Pullman Principal Joe Thornton reached the middle of his address to the graduating students sat behind him, two snuck up beside him, one with a mini hoop.
Unlike most dunk cam videos, the pranksters took the attack on Thornton an extra step, taking a bucket of confetti and dumping it on his head as he scrambled to try and find out what was going on.
The entire incident showcased a fun loving spirit and, of course, a complete lack of fear regarding retribution. After four years, the Pullman class had probably earned a good finale.
