Cordell Broadus, a senior wide receiver from Super Top 25 No. 1 Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, was presented his honorary game jersey at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2015 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game on Monday.
This tour stop added a bit of celebrity to the festivities, as Cordell’s father is Calvin Broadus aka Snoop Dogg. Cordell’s parents, Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus were on hand along with coach Tony Sanchez.
Snoop labeled himself a “proud pappa” and shared photos on Instagram.
“The experience that I am looking forward to when I go down to Florida is just to have fun and meet new friends,” Broadus said. “I would love to learn from the NFL coaches and the coaches they provide for us so I can better myself on and off the field.”
Broadus is one of 90 players selected to compete in the eighth annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., The game will air on ESPN2.
The tour continues Tuesday, when Equanimeous St. Brown from Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif. will be presented with his jersey.
