ASHWAUBENON — Bennett DeBouche scored two goals to lead Bay Port past Ashwaubenon 6-1 in a Fox River Classic Conference boys hockey game Friday night at the Cornerstone Community Center.

Matt Ryther, Martin Suda, Jordan Odea and Logan Froberg each added a goal for the Pirates, and Trenton LeDocq made 18 saves.

Brendon Syed scored for the Jaguars (0-6). Casey Stewart and David Michaelson combined for 40 saves.

Detroit Cath. Central 4, G.B. Notre Dame 3

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Detroit Catholic Central, the top-ranked team among Michigan’s biggest schools, edged Notre Dame (4-2) in the Michigan State Showcase.

Bruce Poshak, Collin Appleton and Jack Wied scored, and Zach Krysiak made 26 saves for the Tritons. Today, Notre Dame plays Brother Rice, the top-ranked team among the second-largest schools.
