Freshman 106-pounder Thomas Tarantino won by fall for Pingry’s points Saturday morning in a 73-6 loss to DePaul in the NJSIAA Non-Public North B wrestling final in Wayne.

Tarantino (16-7) pinned sophomore Donald Wehr in 26 seconds for his seventh straight win. The third-seeded Big Blue, who will compete in next weekend’s District 18 Tournament at Hillsborough, finished with a 5-8 record.

DePaul junior 126-pounder Matt Noble, 29-2, who transferred from Bridgewater-Raritan High School during the off-season after finishing seventh in the state at 113, won by fall in 35 seconds..

DePaul, 12-6, will face Camden Catholic at 3:30 Sunday for the Non-Public B title at Pine Belt Arena at Toms River North High School. Camden Catholic has beaten DePaul the last four years for the championship. DePaul last won in 1993.
