The host Wall boys volleyball team won the Shore Conference Class A Central title, beating Monsignor Donovan 2-0 Wednesday.

Mike Smith led the Crimson Knights (13-1, 9-0) with 20 assists, two blocks and two aces. Brady Donahue added 10 kills, six digs and two aces. Chris Smith contributed nine kills and four digs. Shaun Scott added five kills and three blocks. Teammate Gerard Dunn had 11 digs.

Chris Eiserle paced the Griffins (4-8, 3-6) with eight assists. David Wintrode and Andrew Freeman added four blocks and four kills, respectively. Matt Post contributed three digs.

FREEHOLD 2, BARNEGAT 1: Nick Krauss’ seven kills and eight blocks led the host Colonials (6-10) past the Bengals (8-5) in a nondivisional match.

Kirk Tibett and Jayson Jacot each had five kills for the Colonials (6-10). James Robinson added three kills and two blocks.

Frank Buckley led the Bengals (8-5) with eight kills. Zack Towlen added three kills and three blocks. Will Zeamon contributed seven kills.

LACEY 2, TR EAST 0: Propelled by Brendan Byrne’s 15 assists, four blocks, two kills and four aces, the host Lions (6-6, 5-4) beat the Raiders (4-9, 5-4) in Shore Conference Class A South.

Matt McGovern added eight kills and two blocks. Joe Ulrich contributed four kills and two digs. D.J. Divincenzo added seven kills. Lacey’s James Javery had four blocks.

Tyler Luszik led Toms River East with 11 assists. Matt DeCicco and Frank Noto added three kills and three digs, respectively.

COLTS NECK 2, LONG BRANCH 0: Chris LoMauro’s two digs, two blocks and six kills paced the host Cougars (6-9) past the Green Wave (0-13) in a nondivisional match. Jeremy Brown added four digs and five kills. Axel Perez led the Green Wave with seven digs. Kevin Solano added three assists.

TR SOUTH 2, MANCHESTER 0: Francis Hearne had ix kills, five blocks, seven digs and four aces, leading the visiting Indians (3-10) past the Hawks (3-7) in a nondivisional match. Ryan Casey added 21 assists. For Manchester, Blake Borsetti had nine kills and seven digs. Doug DeSimone added three kills, three digs and two aces. James Claus contributed seven kills and 14 assists. Ryan Hartnett posted three kills. Servio Espinosa had 11 assists.

In boys lacrosse

HOWELL 15, LONG BRANCH 0: Howell Junior Attackmen Mark Buannic (one goal, two assists) recorded his 100th career point in the Rebels’ (7-6, 4-4) Class A North victory over the Green Wave (0-14, 0-8). The assist came on J.T. Pojero’s goal early in the second quarter. Pojero finished with two goals and one assist.

In boys tennis

HOLMDEL 5, MANALAPAN 0: The top-seeded host Hornets (14-2) lived up to their billing, beating the No. 16 Braves (5-4) in the round of 16 in the Shore Conference Tournament. Michael Chen keyed the win with a 6-0, 6-0 conquest of Konrad Slabinski at first singles. Sam Joynson and Dennis Barlotta won at second and third singles, respectively. Harrison Lin and David Lin prevailed at first doubles. Austin Huang and Oliver Zheng won at second doubles.
