Philo scored a pair of second-half goals to upend host Maysville 3-1 on Thursday in Muskingum Valley League girls soccer play.

Sam Evans kicked in a goal at the 15:10 mark of the first half to put the Electrics (1-0, 1-1) ahead, but Brooke Smith’s goal at the 5:30 mark helped the Panthers (0-1, 0-2) tie the game at 1 at the half.

Emily Coakley knocked home the go-ahead goal at the 14:28 mark of the second, and Destiny Hutcheson added the third goal with eight minutes left in the game.

Philo held a 9-5 edge in shots, with goalie Mallory Hill making four saves. Karsyn Shatto made six saves for Maysville.

Philo hosts Tri-Valley at 10 a.m. Saturday.
