So, a team that trailed 21-0 by halftime rallies to win and shakes up the Ozark Conference standings. Another team, playing in the mud and the muck, gets behind its offensive line and plows toward yet another victory.
What a Friday night of football in the Ozarks as Week 8 came and went. You’ll want to check out our video of Willard’s Hunter Yeargan, who scored on a 79-yard touchdown run — but probably ran 100 yards after circling backward.
And then there is that Parkview rally. It’s all below, along with scores and photo galleries.
“I’m going to remember this one for a long time,” Parkview’s Anthony Riley said, after the Vikings’ unbelievable rally to beat West Plains.
“We’ve known this class has had something special since the seventh grade,” Willard senior center Austin McMillen said, after a win against Branson.
“There’s a lot more confidence than we had the second week or the third week,” Nixa senior linebacker Mitchell Capra said, after a big win against Carthage.
“Pretty much, it was a team effort,” Lockwood coach Clay Lasater said, after the Tigers took control of the SRVC, beating Miller.
“(Anthony Satulla) is the perfect combo of being a physical runner, and he’s got breakaway speed when he gets into the open field,” Rolla coach Willie Howard said, after his team held off Hillcrest.
Josh Martin stars for Camdenton, yet injury strikes in win vs. Joplin.
