NEWS CENTER – Two days after the final gold balls were handed out at the state high school basketball championships, the six finalists were revealed for the Mr. & Miss Basketball awards given to the best players in the state.

The three boys vying for the title of Mr. Basketball are Bonny Eagle guard Dustin Cole and a pair of Hampden Academy Broncos Zach Gilpin and Isaiah Bess.

The ladies that will decide the honor for Miss Basketball are McAuley guard and reiging Gatorade Player of the Year Allie Clement, Lake Region center Tiana Jo Carter, and Van Buren guard Parise Rossignol.

The winners will be announced at the McDonald’s basketball banquet in Bangor on Friday.
