Host Floyd Central won the girls’ high school swimming sectional meet on Saturday.

The Lady Highlanders had 453 points. Jeffersonville was second in the 14-team field at 382, with Madison third at 335.

Floyd Central’s Meg Taylor won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle. New Albany’s Stephanie Thom won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.

The winners of each event, plus anyone at least tying the state standard, qualified for the state finals Friday and Saturday at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis.
