Fort Collins’ Johnson commits to play college football

Fort Collins High School’s Dawson Johnson has committed to play college football at the Colorado School of Mines.

Johnson played running back and defensive back for the Lambkins, rushing for 342 yards and four touchdowns.

He was second on the team with 75 tackles and he added an interception, two forced fumbles, two fumbles recovered and a sack.

Johnson joins several athletes who played high school football in Fort Collins on the Mines roster in Ben Marum (reciever, Fort Collins), Sam Seeton (running back, Fort Collins), Cory Voorhis (kicker, Fort Collins), Cody Limmer (quarterback, Poudre) and Colin Peter (offensive line, Fossil Ridge).
