Friday Night Rivals games to be live streamed

WUXP-30 will provide live streaming of its Friday Night Rivals high school football broadcasts, beginning with tonight’s game between Marshall County and Columbia.

“We’ve done it in other markets and now we’ll be doing it in Nashville for the first time,” said Steve Mann, director of high school sports programming for Sinclair Broadcast Group.

“We’ve had a lot of people tell us that they’ve got grandparents and families in another city. This lets them watch it online. It doesn’t help us from a ratings standpoint. It’s more of a service.”
