Shamrocks have won 11 straight meetings with Crimsons
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.
Trinity saw its four-game winning streak snapped last week in a 35-21 loss to rival St. Xavier. Ryan Young passed for 147 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Rodjay Burns had six catches for 88 yards and two TDs. St. X exposed a depleted Trinity secondary as Canon Jackson, Alex Reisert and Ryan Reynolds all were out with injuries.
Manual is 6-0 for the third time in the last four seasons after knocking off Butler 35-0 last week. Tim Comstock completed 12 of 20 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The defense posted its third shutout of the season as Anthony Kyser had a team-high eight tackles (six solo). Manual’s last win over Trinity came in 2003, 37-36.
Quotable: “The kids we have here now really believe they can beat a Trinity or St. X,” Manual coach Oliver Lucas said. “They could have gone to one of those schools, but they want to be known as the ones who beat them, not joined them.
The pick: Manual 21-20.
