Manitowoc Lincoln junior guard Alyssa Fischer and Reedsville junior forward Shelby Otto each received honorable mention recognition when the Associated Press released its All-State girls basketball team.
Fischer averaged 18 points per game for the Ships, placing her second in the Fox River Classic Conference in that category. She scored in double figures in 21 of her team’s 22 games.
This year marks the second time Otto has been named honorable mention All-State by the AP. She averaged 11.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. For the second consecutive year, she was the only area player, boys or girls, to average a double-double. Otto helped lead that Panthers to a 20-3 record and a second straight Olympian Conference championship.
Arike Ogunbowale of Divine Savior Holy Angels was named Player of the Year. She averaged 22.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per contest.
