Makaila Hilliard scored 16 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter to help lead Southern to a 57-51 victory over host Whitefield Academy on Friday night in girls’ basketball.
The Trojans (6-9), who were in a 20-20 tie at halftime, outscored the Wildcats 22-15 in the final quarter.
Rachel Cowles went 11 of 12 from the free-throw line and scored 15 points for Whitefield (4-12).
