Malerie Martin had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Madi Woods scored 10 points as Mercy defeated host Assumption 65-45 Sunday night in girls’ high school basketball.

The Jaguars (8-5) led 34-27 at halftime, then took firm control by outscoring their hosts 15-4 in the third quarter.

Nora Kiesler had 11 points and 14 rebounds and Molly Steinmetz 12 points for the Rockets (5-9).
