Morgan Melichar’s layup with five seconds remaining in the game lifted the Mishicot girls basketball team to a 60-59 win over visiting Wrightstown in an Olympian Conference contest on Thursday night.
The Indians were trailing by nine entering the fourth quarter, but outscored the Tigers 24-14 in the final eight minutes to snatch the victory.
Melichar and Kaitlyn Schetter each finished the game with a team-high 18-points. Schetter’s 18 points came courtesy of six 3-pointers.
Maria Endries added 17 points to go along with 11 rebounds.
Mishicot (2-10, 1-9 OC) travels to league-leading Reedsville tonight.
