Girls BBall: Mayville comes up short in loss to Laconia

By

Laconia 47, Mayville 42: The Cardinals had one last chance to tie the game with 10 seconds, but a Mattie Klingenmeyer 3-pointer just missed.

Laconia was led by Haley Smith who had 14 points while Kelsey Birschbach had 13. Mayville was led by Klingenmeyer who had 15.

“We erased an eight point deficit in the third and we were right in it,” Cardinals coach Barry Nelson said. “Just unfortunate we couldn’t hit that three. We never lost our confidence and it’s jsut a matter of getting over that hump.”
