Waupun 75, New Holstein 44: The Warriors’ offense couldn’t be stopped, as four player scored in double figures in getting a crucial Eastern Wisconsin Conference win.

With it, and a loss by Plymouth, it gives Waupun (14-7, 10-3) a chance to clinch a share of the EWC title with a win over Two Rivers (17-3, 11-2) at home on Thursday.

“Next week doesn’t mean anything if we didn’t get this win tonight,” Waupun coach Doug Disch said. “We wanted to gain confidence tonight and not just squeak away with a win.”

The Warriors took care business, outscoring the Huskies (5-14, 2-11) 23-13 in the first quarter and 22-2 in the third.

Emily Peterson had a game-high 18 points for Waupun, Alex Yedinak added 16, while fellow teammates Maiah Domask and Kelsey Thompson added 14 and 10.
