Ashley McMurtrey erupted for 41 points as Oldham County defeated North Oldham 71-33 in a 29th District girls’ basketball tournament game Wednesday night.
Abigail Stewart put up a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds as the Colonels (14-9) had no trouble corraling the host Mustangs (11-17). Cat Fiorito led North Oldham with 10 points.

Twins Mackenzie and Savannah Raizor had 17 and 10 points, respectively, and Nikki Simmons added 16 points as the host Rockets (18-8) beat the Titans (5-17) in a semifinal.
