Victoria Fino scored in the 65th minute to give the Marlboro High School girls soccer team a 1-0 victory over visiting New Paltz on Friday.
Michelle Nowak stopped all four of New Paltz’s shots, while Mikayla Cochrane also made four saves for the the Huguenots.
Marlboro improved to 3-1.
Millbrook 3, Pine Plains 0 — The host Blazers earned their first victory of the season, with Isa Rosensweig scoring twice after Rachel Galano scored the first goal of the game in the 23rd minute.
Aimee Jacques made eight stops to pick up the shutout. Catherine Simmons made 13 saves for Pine Plains (1-4).
“We’re all relieved,” Millbrook coach Sean McGuigan said. “You could see it, their heads were up, they were happy again. We strung together some passes today and it paid off.”
Millbrook (1-3) visits Dover Monday.
Webutuck shut out Pine Plains 1-0 late Thursday on Lara D’Alessandro’s goal in the 27th minute.
Laura Mendez made eight saves for the Warriors, while Simmons stopped 12 shots for Pine Plains.
“She was on fire (Thursday),” Pine Plains coach Sara Taveniere said of Simmons. “I think we were very evenly matched. They dominated the first half, we dominated the second.
“I think the next time we play them, it will be a very interesting game.”
That rematch comes Wednesday at Webutuck.
Rhinebeck 2, John A. Coleman Catholic 0 — Michelle Giamportone and Brooke Platt each scored a goal in the first half — Giamportone assisted on Platt’s tally — to lead the Hawks (4-1) to the home victory.
“It was a great defensive game,” said Rhinebeck coach Matt Grande, who lauded Alex Dunn, in particular, for her defense. “A lot of the balls were coming to the left side, and she shut down the whole side of the field. It was really nice to watch today.”
Coleman fell to 1-2.
Rhinebeck hosts Webutuck on Monday.
Spackenkill 6, Webutuck 0 — On the way to improving to 4-0, the Town of Poughkeepsie’s Spartans received one goal apiece from Katie Lillis, Gabrielle Pritchard, Morgan Dominick, Julia Kollesar, Eileen Fiore and Jordan Kerr.
Amenia’s Warriors fell to 2-3 with the home loss.
Webutuck travels to Rhinebeck on Monday.
Red Hook 8, Franklin D. Roosevelt 1 — Cassandra LaBarbera scored three straight goals to lift the Raiders to the home victory.
Claire Dyal, Charlie Webber, Lauren Engel, Isabelle LaBarbera and Shannon Berg each scored a goal for Red Hook (5-0).
Abby Thomas scored the Presidents’ goal. Roosevelt fell to 1-3.
Ellenville 6, Dover 0 — The Dragons were outshot 21-5 in the road loss. Honesti Crochran made 10 saves in the loss.
Our Lady of Lourdes 0, Carmel 0 — Kayla Moschetti made 10 saves for the host Warriors late Thursday.
The Warriors (2-1-1) play John Jay on Monday at Stringham Park.
North Salem 2, Arlington B 0 — Freedom Plains’ Admirals fell to 0-2 with a home loss late Thursday.
Arlington B travels to Pawling for a game Saturday at 11 a.m.
