Girls soccer roundup: Valders edges Kiel

Amanda Miller tallied a pair of goals to help Valders erase a 2-1 deficit in the second half en route to a 3-2 road win over Kiel.

The Raiders struck first, with Micayla Fritsch finding the back of the net in the 19th minute before Miller countered in the 37th off a free kick to send the teams into halftime deadlocked at 1-1.

A Jeana Fale strike in the 48th minute put Kiel back on top although it would be short-lived as Valders’ Sydney Gutman found a charging Miller on a breakaway three minutes later she’d calmly deposit in the net.

The game-winner came in the 56th minute as this time it was Miller setting up Gutman off a corner kick which she’d drive home.

Vikings’ keeper Alena Braun made eight saves.

Notre Dame 3, Man. Lincoln 0

The Ships were tied at half with the host Tritons 0-0 but were held in check offensively with three shots on goal.

Hailey Augustine had 13 saves in net for Lincoln.
