Golf tournament fundraiser to help support Great Bridge football

By

CHESAPEAKE – The Wildcat Gridiron Booster Club will be holding a golf tournament fundraiser on Friday, August 22nd at Battlefield Golf Club on Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake. Check in begins at 7am with a shot gun start to 18 holes of golf at 8am.

Unlimited range balls one hour prior to start, golf carts and lunch will be provided for players. Registration is $75 per player or $225 per 4 man team. Individual hole sponsorship begins at $50 and there are additional levels of sponsorship available.

The Wildcat Gridiron Booster Club helps support the Great Bridge High School football program with the purchase of football equipment, helmets and mouth guards, field equipment, field paint, sprinkler equipment and seeding and we help raise money to defer the cost of camps and tournaments.

This group of young men are dedicated in their practice and success both on and off the field and we are trying to help them as much as we can which is why we are reaching out to the community for help. Our teams have been misplaced from their locker rooms and have relocated to City issued portables which the Booster Club has attempted to renovate into acceptable accommodations, to create a unified team atmosphere. This has been a very large undertaking and has severely limited our funds.

We are hoping to be able to hold this golf tournament to show these young men that the community believes in them and is behind them every step of the way.
